Experienced and Gentle Dental Care with Dr. Nick Smith, DDS
Dr. Nick Smith earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Before joining the Moses Lake community, he completed his undergraduate studies at Idaho State University with a focus on Biomedical Sciences, giving him a strong clinical foundation from the start. He took over Moses Lake Family Dentistry from Dr. Craig Harder, who built the practice’s reputation over two decades, and has been proudly serving the Moses Lake community ever since.
His clinical focus is on esthetics, cosmetic dentistry, and minor orthodontics. He’s committed to continuing education in those areas because he believes there’s always more to learn. In the chair, he’s calm and takes his time. He’ll tell you what he sees and lay out your options without pressure.
Outside the office, Dr. Smith is a lifelong baseball player, an enthusiastic restaurant-goer, and an active dad to three kids. He and his wife Morgan have made Moses Lake home.

We’re open Tuesday and Wednesday each week, with 7 AM starts on most weekdays. Wednesday evenings run until 7 PM, which works well for patients who can’t get away during the day. Monday and Thursday alternate weeks, so call us at 509-765-4351 if you’re not sure whether we’re open on a specific day. We’re closed Fridays and weekends.
Do you accept Delta Dental and other dental insurance?
Yes. We’re in-network with Delta Dental and accept many other major dental insurance plans. Our team will check your benefits before your visit and let you know what’s covered. Diane, our financial coordinator, has been handling insurance questions here for nearly 20 years and can walk you through anything your plan doesn’t make clear.
Can I be seen the same day for a dental emergency?
Yes, during office hours. If you have a toothache, a broken tooth, a knocked-out tooth, or a lost filling, call us directly at 509-765-4351. Same-day emergency care is arranged by phone, not through the website form. We’ll fit you in as quickly as we can based on the day’s schedule.
Do you see children as well as adults?
We do. This is a genuine family practice. We see patients from their very first dental visit all the way through adulthood and retirement. Bringing the whole family to one dentist makes scheduling simpler and builds a relationship that lasts.
What if I have dental anxiety?
Tell us when you book. We’ll slow the visit down, explain each step before we do it, and give you time to ask questions. Nitrous oxide is always available for patients who want it.
